Thanks, good to know. Guess I can submit my Tx license and wait until I get it back to file my Utah CFP. :thumbs2:

My renewal for my CHL had just been recieved by DPS when I found out the zip code changed for my address. So I updated my DL address online and contacted DPS and updated my CHL referencing the change of address made on my DL. I mean I want it to all be correct after all. I was all worried my CHL might get kicked because the zip code was not technically right. This was about 4 weeks ago I did this. As of yesterday I have no DL yet but I noticed this morning my CHL status changed to mailed. Now to just get my DL mailed!

I was going to start a new post but figured I might as well ask here. Anybody know what to do if you move while waiting for your chl? Not a renewal but first time applicant. I was hoping it would get here before I moved but it dosen't look like thats going to happen.

Cableguy - sorry to hear about all your DPS issues! If you have your new address before your CHL is sent to printing, then you can call DPS (I know you don't want to, but you gotta) and give them your new address. They can actually change it before they send it out.

Don't forget to also change your driver's license. You can do that online at http://www.Texasonline.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Good luck to you, and I hope the rest of this process goes smoothly!

I applied for a change of address on my drivers license on Monday July 12th and just got it in the mail today, July 30th.

My CHL application lists my father's home address, since I move around every 6-12months when my apartment leases end (I'm nomadic :confused5). So I needed to have my driver's license address changed to my father's address too. I have all of my important mail go there anyway (work related documents, insurance, etc).

What Crossfire said happened to me on my initial application for CHL. I applied and then moved to a new house. I called and emailed and they fixed it while it was processing. Easy.

I submitted my online address change for my TxDL 1 week before mailing my form for my CHL. They both came in at the same time, yesterday, so about 2 weeks for the CHL and 3 for the TxDL.

I called and emailed them yesterday as per their instructions. Real easy process. Now just have to wait for them to resend the letter for the "missing" photos. :banghead:
