Her status shows "Mailed" today as well.

her states
Applied online- May 25
FAST-L1 fingerprints and photos May 28
Mailed CHL100 and whatever else on June 1
about June 23, status finally showed up on the website
About June 25 showed Manufacturing Pending
June 30 Shows mailed
25 business days from Application to Mailed
22 business days from FAST to mailed
21 business days from mailing documents to Mailed
and probably 18 business days from DPS receipt of CHL100 and other docs to Mailed -

To me, this is all good, basically 1 month! Now lets see if she actually carries her XD9sc
No fair! LOL My packet got to DPS on the 1st and my status showed on the 19th.... still pending background check.

Congrats to your wife!

Update:

As of 06/30/10 DPS online updated to shows wife's CHL as "mailed".

To recap the timeline for her renewal it goes like this:

05/06/10
- Complete packed mailed.

05/08/10 (Day 1)
- USPS Confirmed Delivery.

05/14/10 (Day 7)
- DPS online showed all items "received".
- Prints "pending".

05/24/10 (Day 17)
- DPS online showed prints "complete".
- Background check "under review".

06/21/10 (Day 45)
- Called DPS to inquire about status.
- Told that current processing time for renewals actually 45 days avg (not 21 as indicated on DPS web site).

06/24/10 (Day 48)
- Called DPS again - they offered more excuses.
- Requested to speak with supervisor - was told no supervisor in that day (been out all week in fact).
- Requested supervisor call me back when they came back to work.
- Contacted Alice Tripp with TSRA - requested her assistance.

06/25/10 (Day 49)
- Mrs. Tripp contacted DPS on wife's behalf.
- DPS called me (I was out - missed call).
- Returned call to DPS representative - got her voicemail - left message - no further contact made by or to DPS since this time.

06/26/10 (Day 50)- DPS online status changed to show background check "complete".
- License showed "manufacture pending".

06/30/10 (Day 54)
- DPS online status changed to show license "mailed".

So, with a little luck from the USPS, DPS may actually get her renewal processed and here in less than 60 days! :clapping: :woohoo :cheers2:

Two years ago it took them 59 days to process my renewal, and that was before all the great improvements. I am sure glad to see all the changes are working! "rlol" Oh well, I guess we need to give the new guy a chance to straighten it all out.

it is unbearable isn't it? LOL
Give it a couple weeks and you will wonder why you were so anxious and think to yourself, it wasn't so bad, in the grand scheme of things

Congrats, and make sure to give us a full Wally Walk report

Thanks and I will..... don't have a budget right now for a good iwb holster so I will be using a cheap Uncle mike's I got from Academy for $9.99. It's just hard looking for an IWB for my Ruger p95 considering that we only have a few stores selling holsters here in El Paso.

I completely understand and know that holsters from Comp-Tac and Crossbreed can crimp your wallet, but they are well worth the money if you can save up the dough.
They will hold the weapon better, you can draw and replace the weapon with 1 hand, they will hide the weapon better, all positives, except the price, I think you can get a Crossbreed with cowhide for about $65 + shipping and tax, so about $80 total.

Good luck

manufacturing to plastic, could be a week, could be 2 1/2 or 3 weeks. there really is no telling.
the best way to think of it, is, without any issues, missing paperwork or other delays, you are about 40 days from DPS receiving your supporting documentation, to plastic

Got plastic in the mail yesterday! Carrying my 709 Slim to work today.

I want to get a holster for my SW99C, thinking about a super tuck.

I'm officially signing my wife OUT of the Waiting Room.
Stats:
Applied online May 25
FAST - L1 - Prints and photos May 28
Mailed supporting CHL100, Photo Holder, etc on June 1 (without tracking)
Estimated DPS receipt June 3
Plastic on July 2.
Less than 30 days from DPS Receipt to Plastic! Amazingly fast, and always, just a bit better than me! LOL (mine was 34 days)
