OK, so my chl app status finally turned to "mailed" yesterday morning fueling my levels of excitement and anticipation. My hope was that it was actually mailed Thursday and that the status was updated overnight to "mailed" with the idea that I would receive it today. About 5 minutes ago, I took that long walk to the mail and reached in to find a letter from DPS. 
I start bending and flexing the letter so that I can feel the edges of that little plastic card and . . . nothing 
I tear open the letter only to find out that its my driver's license renewel notice !!!! 
THAT IS JUST CRUEL!!!!

Man, what the HECK? Mail is usually here on saturdays by noon, and it's not here yet. Do I think it's going to be delivered today? No. But it'd be nice if they'd even pick up my netflix disc.

My status changed to "mailed" on Friday. I live in Houston and thought surely the Pony Express would get here from Austin by Monday. Apparently, that horse stopped for water along the way and now after the mail has arrived on Tuesday, still no plastic. I'll be looking out the window all day tomorrow until the mail gets here.
