The good part is that it is currently being reviewed by a technician, so maybe I will have an approval status by today.
Good luck redlin! Sorry that your youthful indiscretion is slowing down the process. I don't know what took mine so long. I was in the Army, have had DoD investigations done on me in the past, never had any run-ins with LEOs except for the occasional speeding ticket and mine still took a good bit of a month to process.

Hang in there brother, My application was received @ DPS March 5th. I'd lost my original DD-214, so I had to send a Army Human Resource Form 3553IE in place of the DD-214. Its called a statement of military service I believe. Anyway, it showed an Honorable Discharge for one period and an unknown for another period; which should have shown a General under Honorable Conditions. It seems as though for that period my military records were lost. Of course this called for DPS to hold up the processing. Fortunately, it all worked out well and I'm in the manufactoring stage when I'd looked at it today. I did receive an e-mail from a Tech Apr 27th saying that "I'm squared away. You should have your license within 3-4 weeks." I thought that was kinda weird.... Why an additional 3-4 weeks?

I believe they give worse case scenarios. When I ask Rene how long it was taking to go from prossesing to approved, his answer was "60 days". Sounds as your wait is almost over, early congrats to ya! :patriot:

Congrats to all the March graduates. :thumbs2: Are there any non-grads for March left besides me? I believe I was also the last to enter for March, mailed on 3/30. Hopefully, in the next day or two, mine will show that the background has been completed and that my card is being manufactured.

I am still waiting on mine as well, shows as "manufacturing" like yours. Mine was received by DPS on 03-29 as was my wife's. Her's was approved 04-29 and she got her plastic 05-01. Ours can't be far behind.

I think you hit on it and hopefully it won't be anything but a delay. I had a youthful indiscretion as well 34 years ago but mine was only a misdemeanor. My wife's application was received the same day as mine but she has plastic as of 05-01 where mine still shows "Manufacturing". At least it would appear that I can take that to mean it is approved and should be in hand shortly. Good luck on yours.

Sorry to hear it redlin; maybe the system just didn't update today. I'm betting that they still lag by 24 hours or so. I'm still waiting for my license to be "manufactured", but I did get my Wally Walk shirt in the mail. It isn't the gaudiest Aloha shirt ever, but it is fairly tacky. My wife is part Hawaiian, so I've already got a huge collection of Aloha shirts... and I'm going to stop rambling about Aloha shirts!

See what happens when you've been waiting for your plastic for 30 days!!

Another good day today. Just got to the office and cleared a few things so I could play. Overnight my status went from Manufacturing to Mailed. Looks like I should have plastic real soon!

Man, I always seem to be lagging the other 3/29 submittals! I'm still in the Manufacturing status. Ah well, at least I'm approved. Come on Plastic!!! I'm ready for you!

Man, I wonder why mine is taking so flipping long!? I called today and was told that my application had been sent to be printed and it would be 1 to 2 weeks before I receive it. Are you kidding me?? Why would mine take 45ish days when everyone else who submitted at the same time took 20-30 days? :banghead: :cryin

Ok, I'm done whining (for now), but good grief this waiting is getting unbearable!

If I were in your shoes, I would feel the exact same way.
I am sorry yours is taking so long, it does not seem right, obviously that it would be so long for it to be printed :banghead:

I find that hard to believe. Mine went from In Processing to Manufacturing to Mailed in a matter of three days, with any luck it will show up in the box today if it was really mailed 5/4 like they said it was. My wife's was ahead of mine and it only took two days from the date it showed as complete to the day she had plastic in hand.

I just thought of something.
With the new way (as of May 1) of applying, I wonder if there is more back-end work that has to be done for manufacturing than before?
