Class done, packet away... Checking out!
Just finished the CHL class and got the first-time packet sent off. Time to buckle down for the long-haul, I guess.
I need a better holster too...

Welcome alric. The time will pass. What are you going to carry & what holster are you looking at? There may be some help on the board for that too.
Carry 24-7 or guess right.

I have a Baby Eagle .40S&W compact right now, in an Uncle Mike's in the pants band holster. A friend recommended Smartcarry, but other than that I don't really have many ideas.
I have issues reholstering with the current holster. It folds closed after I draw, and pretty much takes 2 hands to re-holster the weapon, which seems problematic to me at best.
EDIT: Spelling!

Nothing here to even offer as something to try. I understand that Baby Eagle is one fine shooter but that there are not many holsters available for them. This may be a learning experience for all of us. Any of you Eagle shooters out ther have suggestions

I think I'm getting ahead of myself, but what is this "Walmart Walk" I keep hearing about? I look around in other threads and people talk about it! No idea what it is though.

Simple: once you have license in hand, where's the place you're most likely to go?Alric wrote:I think I'm getting ahead of myself, but what is this "Walmart Walk" I keep hearing about? I look around in other threads and people talk about it! No idea what it is though.
Most everybody goes to Wal Mart more than they go anywhere except their own job. When you get the plastic, stick it in your wallet, holster your pistol, go to Wal Mart, and enjoy the freedom of legally carrying a concealed handgun in public.
It's quite liberating.

I even bought more ammo while I was there on my first trip. My wife got quite a good laugh from it all. I must have asked her 10 times "Am I printing?"KBCraig wrote:Simple: once you have license in hand, where's the place you're most likely to go?Alric wrote:I think I'm getting ahead of myself, but what is this "Walmart Walk" I keep hearing about? Okay, it makes sense now, I suppose. I only go to Walmart to buy ammo though. And occasionally some food, if fast food gets too expensive or I start feeling more health conscious.
Whats this about nachos then? And my fiancee already gets printing questions often.

Welcome to the forum. Enjoy the wisdom that is on here. It's like no other forum you will encounter. Very friendly folks.Alric wrote:Okay, it makes sense now, I suppose. As far as the nacho's, in days of old (before McDonalds moved into Walmart) they sold nacho's at the snack counter. As the saying goes, go get some nacho's ment to actually go get some, get comfortable carrying, and see how many people did not notice.
