I got mine today

I received my CHL in the mail today.

I was starting to get frustrated with DPS. My status changed on 8/28/06 and they told me they mail them the same day, well from Austin it only takes 2 days so what is the delay? I guess I should not have been too frustrated, overall it went without any delay - all my paperwork was okay.

My time frames:
6/21/06 I completed the online registration and online payment
6/28/06 Pin Issued
6/30/06 Rec'd Packet and Pin from Austin
7/3/06 Mailed Complete Packet
7/4/06 DPS Rec'd packet
8/28/06 DPS Website says Application Completed - license issued or certificate active
9/8/06 Rec'd envelope with my license - it has a date stamp from DPS of 9/6/06 not 8/28!

Off to Wally World... Take care & have a good weekend.

Congradulations.

Be safe, practice often, and hope you never have to use it.
