Should be there Soooooooon. Oldschool is finally out of the doghouse, just a little bruised.
Congratulations DynaBlue !
Oldschool , if you're like me , it won't be long before you're back in the doghouse for some reason or another.

Super congrats DynaBlue!! That took a little longer than what we've been seeing but the important thing is you are approved!

I got tired of seeing "processing" on the log on so I emailed DPS got a response: being printed should receive in 1-2 weeks. How come my status never changed to issued and in the mail?

It will change to "Application Complete" when the license comes back from the printers and is put in the out going mail.
So keep checking your status because you're very close to the finish line.
BTW..Congratulations ! you'll be packin heat before you know it.
I finally mailed my packet. Part of it was procrastination, part of it was waiting until I moved from Plano to McKinney. I hope things go smoothly...I started filling out my yellow form right after my class, and my address changed in September. My instructor said to just make corrections and wouldn't give me a new form...it looked like a mess with all the wrong stuff scribbled out. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will go through.

Scribbled out? Good luck with that We were told that any corrections should be simply struck through with a single black line. Hope that doesn't delay anything for you.
Welcome to the wait, as I understand it things are so much better these days than about a year ago

Thanks y'all, it's been fun in the waiting room but I am heading out! :) Status updated online this morning (weird, happened somewhere between 1am and 7:30 am - is DPS working OT these days??) Now i just have to hound the mailman.... As best as I can tell, 17days from DPS Receipt to marked Complete. Am *VERY* happy with the response time (based on comments I've seen of what it was like last year etc), also think it's pretty quick seeing as 3.5 yrs of my history was here in TX, the remainder was from Australia.
Hope it goes just as fast (or faster) for everyone else in the waiting room and I'll catch you on the other threads now!
Cheers,
steve.
