DynaBlue is still in "Processing." :grumble

I'm in the "Cold Shoulder while DynaBlue Waits for Her Plastic" period, which should be followed by the "Who Gets to Carry the .45, Dear" milestone. :boxing

Unfortunately for me, she's waiting at the mailbox to intercept my plastic! :eek6

Hi Joe, I'm a denizen of Bagdad on the Bayou, inner loop sector, where you can't take out your trash at night without risking a drive-by.

I'm a Vietnam era citizen so I chose my handle to honor that massive piece of H.E., the BLU-82. Its been retired now. Wiki it for more info.

Glad to be aboard with all the good folks here.

Keep duckin'

Yep, I know. Sorry. Personally, I'm just very relieved that it all went right.

As I now sit with DynaBlue glaring at me, there are two things that may have (we're guessing) helped me:

* We pre-applied online two weeks before we took the class, and the PIN's came with the packets that were mailed to us. Our "Processing" status seemed to start quicker than those who didn't do the pre-app (and both went to Processing on the same day), so that may have helped.

* What we're fairly convinced is now making the difference between hers and mine: I already had fingerprints on file with the FBI, and she didn't. It may just be that they're having to create a whole new background file on her.

Anyone with a better understanding, please set us straight. Again, I hope everyone's comes fast (especially my wife's)!

Excellent news Walther and Texmex2004.

Didn't think the DPS would be processing applications today. Still nothing on my status. I'm getting the itch to buy a new carry rig, but *not* going to do it until I get the "All Clear" signal.

Hopefully the mailteam is light on his/her feet! :anamatedbanana
After my "Application Completed - ....." notice came about. Came in the mail on the 2nd day after.

Congrats folks. For me, the process didnt take nearly so long as I was preparing myself for. :txflag: :hurry:

Thanks grumble! USA1, waiting for the mailman is a little tough. I am betting it will be in the mailbox Wednesday after I get off work. Not gonna worry too much till then. :coolgleamA:

GOT IT!!!
:clapping:

DynaBlue picked it up at the PO box, where it's been since last week (postmarked the 13th, so I'll guess the 15th).
There was some mention of "Ransom" when she called me at work, but she gave it to me over dinner (at our favorite downtown restaurant -- I had a Mozart rehearsal at JH).

However, she is still in "Processing." We'll wait until next week before calling.
She doesn't like waiting. This is gonna cost me.... :grumble :waiting:
