For a while , Harris and Galveston counties were the worst.
But they seem to have gotten better in the last few months probably due to the overwhelming number of complaints .

Work in Harris County

Didn't know they checked your work county.

Don't know if they do, but in my hubby's case it matters little since he's both lived and worked in the counties I listed. ;)

Yep , anywhere that you list that you've lived or worked , DPS has to get a background check from that county.

So I decided I was not going to check for a coupla days, and checked this morning and got

Application Completed - license issued

Thats promising since I also live in Denton County...
I work in Dallas County though - I hope Dallas doesn't slow things down

How quickly do they normally send you a PIN after you request one via email?

Frantically checking my email for a PIN seems less exciting than frantically checking a website for a status update.
