Thanks Kevin & Arnold! And NAVY CHEIF, you're right. Time to start waiting again, this time on the mail. It seems like that's all I've done is wait since I applied online. Well at least it's nearing the end. Phew.

This sounds like something I’ve heard before “hurry up and wait”. Does that sound familiar Navy Chief?joe817 wrote:Thanks Kevin & Arnold! And NAVY CHEIF, you're right. Definitely sounds familiar to me........hurry up and wait......
Joe, you're on the downhill slide. You'll probably see the card by the end of the week....or early next week.......Have you been trying on holsters? Is your wardrobe in order?

Re: August 2009 Applications
I hear that one. I am currently having to replace most of mine...of course that is nothing to do with the expanding waistline and it is all about concealing the gun. I often ask my wife "Does this gun make me look fat?" her answer is usually "No your fat makes you look fat"lonewolf wrote: Is your wardrobe in order?

Yeah, there is definitely no concealing the waistline. The older I get, the more area there is.
I am in shape.

Re: August 2009 Applications
Actually, I don't even have a suitable holster. I have all the Hawaiian shirts I need! It looks like I'll be carrying in a pocket my little Colt Gov't 380 until a suitable holster can be found. In fact I'm gonna need 2 holsters. 1 for the Colt & 1 for the Ruger. But at least I've narrowed down my choice to 4 holsters for each gun.lonewolf wrote:Definitely sounds familiar to me........hurry up and wait......

LW, I sure hope you're right about when it'll come in. That would be nice to do the W.W. over the weekend.

Re: August 2009 Applications
Ah yes...nothing says "carrying" like a nice Hawaiian shirt (if that isn't an oxymoron)

Joe, I just bought a nice casual sport jacket that goes great with jeans, at Macy’s regular 275.00 on sale for 60.00. They are having their end of year sale. You don’t have to go Hawaiian all the time!!!

You mentioned not living 24/7 with your "26", why?
"Carry" on!
Hooyah!
A nice Ruger LCP 380 in the pocket of the shorts is a heck of a lot better than nothing at all.
The LCP sounds like a good idea. If I get the CHL in time, I'll put one on my Christmas list.
