Getting excited in Travis County!

They got my app three days before yours (we took our class the same day), so I ought not be far behind you.

Hoping! :hurry:

Class taken 6/19
Dps received 6/29
License issued 8/31

Looks like things have speeded up. Not sure how long the next step takes.

Well, I'm not a very happy camper at the moment.

I just spoke to a person at the licensing office who was "in the process of researching my criminal background."

That background was a (self-disclosed on the application) 1976 DWI in New Jersey. It is my only "criminal background".

She indicated that she had to verify that it was the only conviction on my record in the incident, or some such jargon.

I find it highly interesting that 91 days following receipt of my application they are just now (background checks all completed) doing additional research into a one-time stupid drinking and driving issue. Not justifying it or making any excuse for it, just bewildered that something 33 years ago has this CHL in limbo. Sure glad I didn't kill someone.

Congrats everyone, it looks like they are starting to knock out the June applications!

Does anyone know what the next step is? If the website says "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active" does that mean it has been mailed?

Thanks!
