I still check it after 165 days and it never changes. I have written both of my state legislators. Got a reply from my rep but no help and no reply from my senator nor County Commissioner. Numerous calls to DPS to no avail. All I get is "waiting on Harris County". Has any one else been waiting this long?

Well I may not beat the guy waiting 200 days. Called today and CHL is being printed. I should get it about a week and a half, so apparently the printers are as slow as everything else connected to this process. Website says I am still in "Processing Application" Status so I hope Elvia at DPS was telleng me the straight poop.

Well I said I'd check 2 or 3 times/week. So far that hasn't worked out. I'm finding I'm checking 2 or 3 times per day though. At least I got the numbers right!
It still says the same thing: packet mailed to applicant. They've had it since Aug. 8. Maybe the status will change this next week.....maybe.
