Looks like I screwed up and left something off my paperwork back in May even after going over the checklist twice. After 70 days I got it back to be comepleted. Does anyone know if this starts me all over again or do I somehow take up where I left off?

It's been 98 days now since I sent in my application. About day 45 I got a letter from DPS saying I left out page three of the application. I am pretty sure I didn't, but they sent a blank page three anyway so I filled it out and mailed it back. I have no idea if this put me at the end of the line or not. Bottom line is I'm so frustrated I feel like forgetting the whole thing! :mad5 :mad5

Welcome to the forum.

Nobody who knows the details of how DPS works is talking. My guess is that most of the initial 70 days, your application was sitting in a pile waiting for a technician to start on it. Now it's in a smaller pile of incomplete applications waiting from a response from the applicant.

Still guessing, you probably have a 60 to 90-day wait from the time that they receive your response.

It looks like April applicants are starting to get their licenses now.

About what I figured. As far as the April applicants starting to get theres back, maybe so, my son-in-law was a March applicant and he hasn't got his.

I find the variation in processing time troubling. The system should be first-in-first-out for people who don't have irregularities in their application. DPS blames it on the county background checks, which DPS conducts. Who knows?
