Apparently there is no order/sense to the way they process the app. Mine was sent like a week before yours' and I still show "No application or license/certificate active."

I wonder if they check all my paper work at the same time so that I only receive one "Application incomplete" notice. Or is there a chance I can receive ANOTHER one later on.. :waiting:

Knowing DPS, I'd put money on the latter being possible :smilelol5:

Aargh.

"Application incomplete - missing information - detailed letter has been sent."

Got the letter today too. Apparently my DD-214 doesn't say 'Honorable Discharge'. Im guessing this is probably because I was still inactive duty for 4 years after I received my 214.
I have my 256AF Certificate of honorable discharge, which I got when I completed my inactive service as well.
I'll send them a copy of that tomorrow. It says 'honorable discharge' in 2" Letters on it

I just can't believe how long it took some of you just to get your pin number. I had mine in 4 days from the time DPS received my paperwork.

Mine was processing 5/21 and still processing as of today with no letters so far so that is encouraging.

Mailed off my 'fixed' paperwork to them today.
Stupid mistake, lol.
When you separate, they give you 2 copies of a 214.
One has your separation type and code, and one does not. I gave them a copy of the one that does not :banghead:

I sent them a copy of the one that does, along with my 256AF, which looks like a Diploma, but says 'Honorable discharge' instead of 'Diploma' "rlol"

Yeah, it is a bit ridiculous isn't it? I expected the PIN to come late. What I didn't expect was for all the people in the thread who mailed at the same time or after I did to be in processing, and mine still says no application. It doesn't make any sense.

 I paid the license fee online and took the CHL class in March. I received and mailed the packet to Austin on April 10. It took them exactly 6 weeks to change my status from "packet mailed to applicant" to "processing application" on the website. I'm in limbo now, wondering if the license will be on the way, or if one of many possible glitches will develop.

Glad to have found this forum. Misery does indeed love company. :txflag:

3/27 Paid fee
3/28 CHL class
4/10 Rec'd and mailed packet
5/25 "Processing application"
7/4 "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"
7/10 CHL received
