Called today and got a polite lady who let me know everything looks good, they're just waiting on my Background check.

I've only lived in 2 counties in the last 5 years, Randall and Brazos. Find it hard to believe the volume of applications is presenting problems in either of those counties. :???:

Still processing for a while longer I suppose. :???:

74nova---I am in the same situation, with my background checks being from Dallas and Lubbock Counties---Funny thing is my Dallas background check was returned weeks ago. What in the world is holding up a background check in Lubbock County???? It can't be IKE, and it isn't that large of a county to run a background check...the technician I spoke with was even baffled as to the hold up. She said the has contacted them and asked them to "expedite" it, we'll see.

I just checked this morning and:

Application Completed - license issued or certificate active

It was still showing processing last night. So might want to check yours.

2/4/09 - Class taken
2/5/09 - Application hand delivered to Austin DPS
5/5/09 - Application completed license active.
5/?/09 - Plastic in hand

I have lived in Austin Travis county for past 5 years. No criminal record ever.
I did the web application before I took the CHL class (local CHL classes were booked for 2 months ahead so my total wait time is more like 5 months. Starting in December wait 2 months to take class then 3 to process license).

Where did you take your class? I went to marksman in South Houston. This wait sucks. My co- worker is on day 91 and he is in Harris County also. :totap:

We are the unlucky ones, I have two friends that live in Montgomery County and they took their class in Late Jan. and received their plastic in 72 and 80 days, I guess we will have to wait about 4-5 months is what I guessing. :mad5
