I do not understand, my packet was recieved several days before yours, I had no problems with incomplete applications, and I still am processing. I was told 2 weeks ago they were just waiting to print!!

I am so tired of this

:iagree: Dunno either. It's a government bureaucracy. I think quantum physics is easier to understand!:

Blame it on the Postal Service? Who knows... :banghead:

Good luck and let's hope your status changes in the morning...

Yea, it was bad when my 'dates sent/date processing' days were earlier than some who started to get 'completed' messages. I started wondering if I was to be one of the souls left on the 100-180 day boat to rot. The good news is that mine took 50 days from app processing to complete, and your still a couple of days in that window, so I suspect that you will recieve good news very soon.

I'm on day 75 right now....from the day I mailed the application. I'm glad to see that some are down in the 78-86 day range...maybe that'll be the same for me.

I'm in Grayson County, so I don't know if that has any impact on the process at all.

Here's hoping to just another week or two..... :txflag:

Still "Processing"

I called and with DPS yet again (Maybe they notate every time I call and send it back to the bottom of the stack)

They told me yet again, just as they did 2 weeks ago today, that it is just a matter of printing.

I am on 79 today. It is so hard to sit here and wait. If this was anything else I had some control over I would be beating down doors to get what I wanted. It SUCKS being helpless!

I wonder if age has anything to do with it...Maybe they think Im only 25 and can wait a little longer!

To put our situation into perspective, I recently got a TWIC card which is administered by the Department of Homeland Security and authorizes me to work in refineries located on a port. There are two offices in Houston to get this card and by my estimates the one I went through at Woodbridge processes 500-1000 people per day. You have to go through a more stringent background check than the CHL, give fingerprints, take photo etc. My total wait time from application to card was 2-3 weeks. This is also a much more advanced card with RFID tag containing all of my information, impossible to forge, etc. etc. The fee is $132 which is on par with what we pay for our CHL and even considering the gross incompetence of our federal government employees they still kick the crap out of our DPS office in processing time. Our state will probably process 80-90K CHL applications this year. TWIC will probably do 10X that this year.

This is just ridiculous.

I just called the DPS and they said their network is down and may be down for the rest of the week!!

I asked the lady if everything is still processing and work is still being done and she told me one word....."NOPE" (literally the only thing she said to several questions I asked her)

So I guess this week is out

I've got a TWIC card too. I got mine in Corpus last year and it took about 6 weeks(~45 days) to get it back, but you're correct, it was still faster than a CHL.

Wonder if this will affect mine. It says certificate active. I am hopeful that this means they have gotten mine back from the printer and put it in the mail.

Sigh.
