Mine hasnt arrived yet. Check was cashed on 12/15 pin received on 12/26 and showed processing that day.

I called for an update yesterday and mine is completed just waiting to be issued per the gentleman I spoke with. He mentioned it was just sitting there and he would bring it to his supervisors attention and get it processed.

I only called since I was worried about something missing/ wrong and not getting a notice. We have two streets named the same within a few blocks and our mail tends to get lost sometimes.

I'm in the same boat deadeye, my app was recieved 12/15/08 and I have not been notified of any problems with my application. They didn't start processing it until 12/28 so I'm going to wait until next week to see if it gets completed, that will give them a full 60 days from processing. They are backlogged a bit according to other post.

If you call them they will tell you the date that it was received and the date that it started processing.

My wife's is issued. They sent back one of her pics because it was not signed, I must have put the signed one in the passport holder. Rather than switching them out they sent the one that was paper clipped to the application back. But who knows they probably send them to different departments for processing. I don't work there so I don't know how they process these thing. It took 11 weeks from the time they received it though and had to send back the photo and put it back in line. We were hoping it was going to be after Tuesday which is her birthday and she would get a license for almost 5 years at first. Just thought I would let everyone know the time frame. We mailed it Dec. 9th received the photo back about the first of Febuary and took 3 weeks after they received the photo and it went back to processing status.

Called for an update and background checks are back but there is a back log on actually issuing the licenses??

So aggravating because I could understand if they were waiting on info to come in to complete it, but not that it is completed and just sitting there. Said a supervisor was emailed on it but nothing else they can do. Guess the wait continues.

What date do you start calculating from? The day they received it or the it shows processing?

At this point I am kicking myself for not getting the utah with the hubby!

Still waiting for plastic!
Checked the site last night - "Application Completed - license issued or certificate active"!!

44 days from the day I got the pin number. Not too shabby... a lot better than I was expecting!

Now I'm just waiting on the mail...

Y'alls information is giving me hope. :cheers2:

I sent my renewal packet in on the 21st of December. They received it on the 24th.

Processing started on the 24th of January, PIN issued at that time.

Looks like I might have another month to wait. My current CHL expires in mid April, so I ought to have the new one in hand by the end of March ?????

Congrats to all who finally got approved. I got my plastic and 3 days later got the flu, and yes, I had the flu shot in October, but this apparently was a different strain. So I got to enjoy the freedom for 3 days, then a week of being house bound, but starting tomorrow, get to enjoy it again. I'd rather have the plastic than the flu any day...
