I am at day 81 (or so).

He obviously read a script saying "we have had a 51% increase in applications and we are currently running 120-150 days processing time..." same thing they are telling everyone word for word.

Then when I pressed for more detailed answer for my app, he said it was currently undergoing background checks, and says they are trying to do "first-in, first-out" but due to running changes in the process and bringing on new people, it is not happening on a first-in, first-out basis.

BTW when I informed "Steve" that I have reliable reports of people who submitted their application at least one week after me having already received their licenses, he responded with great incredulity with "Oh, I DOUBT that!"

I thought that was funny.

Last Friday (the 15th) the website said that my application was completed, license issued or certificate active.

How long till I get the plastic? I still haven't received it as of 7/22 6PM.
5/21 took the CHL class.
5/23 mailed the packet in.
6/22 hadn't received packet or PIN, requested via email from DPS
7/08 changed addresses. Notified DPS, re-requested PIN
7/08 received PIN
7/25 still "Processing Application"
8/15 application approved... waiting on plastic.

Looks like there running between 90 and 100 days (pbwalkers went in about a week before mine and was complete about that same margin) I was watching to see if mine came out a week after his and it was darn almost on target...

Your about one week behind me so figure the end of this week, mid next, then after that I would e-mail and ask for a detailed update/explanation.

If you have no record (I do, sort of) there is no reason yours should not come out around that time line or sooner.... If they’re catching up.

Well today is day #90 for me.

I realize many people waited in excess of 120 days. Some in excess of 150 days. That is insane. What's more infuriating is that some people indeed have gotten their license in the mandated 60 days.

I wrote my state rep yesterday. I don't think it will do any good, but I guess it can't hurt.

When I originally filed for my CHL I thought I would be taking a summer vacation and I was concerned that I wouldn't get my CHL in time to carry on my family vacation (in TX). At that time, I figured we'd do our vacation in August. Well as luck would have it, we are totally broke and August is almost over, so I don't have my CHL and also we haven't gone on vacation yet. Maybe we won't do a vacation this year. Either way right now I am hoping to get my CHL by Christmas :)
