June Applicants

#1

Post by kidder014 »

Ok, from what I can tell on the March, April, and May topics, here is where we stand:

Many March applicants are still awaiting their plastic, many others are complete. :thumbs2:
One or two April applicants have received their plastic, many others are seeing a little progress. :waiting:
A couple of May applicants are reporting receiving their PIN in the mail.

So, I would assume any March applicants that are not complete are due to having common names, or having other hold-ups with the BG checks. :banghead: It looks like April applications are well in progress, and SOME May applications are getting entered in the system.

I figured it's about time for us June applicants to have our own topic as well. I'm curious to see which June applicant receives their pin, or more importantly, their plastic first...

I am also curious as to how everyone who applied in June is progressing. Post up if there are any developments. I will make sure to update mine as information becomes available. Good luck everyone!

I've only hit my 31 day mark, but I didn't get any confirmation on whether or not the DPS received my packet when I mailed (my fault cause I didn't ask the Post Office to get a signature). So I'm stuck checking the online status a hundred times a day lol. I called the DPS today and they just said they don't have any information for me yet because they haven't started processing my app. and to give it a few more weeks.
12 May Applied Online
21 May Received Packet
31 May Took Class
3 June Mailed Application Packet
15 August In Process
17 September Process Halted due to Passport Photo size (too small)
8 November In Process
20 December Plastic in Hand! Merry Christmas

Mailed May 30
Received June 2
Pin July 11

Now I need to find the carry rig. I've been messing around with 6" revolvers and such lately and don't have much for options right now.

I just wish I had not waited and completed all this a couple of years ago when we moved down here. Moved here from Maryland, where it is impossible to get a permit unless you know someone.

Good luck to all that are in the "holding pattern" and try to stay patient.
