Received PIN today

#1

Post by The_Vigilante »

My patience was rewarded today (just kidding!) when I received a letter from DPS with my PIN (37 days). Is that a record for a non-online applicant? Anyway with that out of the way I will now be spending most of my time online checking the status of my application. Oh yes, current status as of today at 3:56 PM MDT is "processing application". What a surprise. However I am hoping that since I got my PIN so soon my license won't be far behind. I can hope, can't I?

Congratulations, Vig!

I've posted a reply similar to this to another member who also received his PIN today. My app was received in Austin on 4/21, but haven't got my pin yet. Hopefully, right after the holiday.

Good luck! and don't wear out your "Enter" key checking status! :hurry:

I was actually asking about the fastest record for receiving a PIN-not the longest record which it appears you unfortunately may have the dubious distincion of owning.

i sent my app on 3/3/08 and my pin was mailed to me (dated) 3/25/08 so my assumption is that they got the package on the 5th or 6th

so thats about a 3 week turn around for mine

trust me though, having the pin is not the great thing you might think it is

especially after checking the DPS website the 10th time in the same day. :rolll

I didn't even know about a pin until I found this site about 30 days into the process.

Actually I joined this forum April 10, 2008. So I went that long (from Feb 26 or so) flying blind.
