Anyone know what "Print Pending" actually means? Is it just, "You're in the queue to have your license printed?"

May 2: Documents received (Same day I submitted them online, I think)
May 6: Completed finger-printing
May 10: Fingerprints received; Background check under review
May 14: Background check green, "Print Pending"

Anyone know what "Print Pending" actually means? Is it just, "You're in the queue to have your license printed?"

May 16: License To Carry A Handgun : Mailed

I'm also signed up for USPS's service where they email you a scan of your mail each day, and today's scan has what looks to be the license! I forgot to check status yesterday, so they may actually have updated the status to "Mailed" then. Total time from Application submittal to license mailed: 14 days!

I don't believe it's people being jealous. We wonder more about the people that work there and how they go about issuing ltcs'. My sister works for cps (not in Texas) and you'd be amazed at the number of people that work there not caring about the cases they are working involving all those children.

Update:
I think I found the reason for variations in timelines. It must have to do with the review process of criminal background. According to the TLTC Handbook GC §411.176 after the state background check, you are sent for a local background check, or geographical, which they have 30 days to respond.

May 17th - Day 30
So far no change. No letters in mail requesting additional information. I do have one arrest from 1996, case dismissed. No conviction. I provided the information during the application process.
