Does anybody know if being a military veteran makes the background check take longer?

Did everyone know time runs slower over the weekends.... I swear fighting the urge to look at the DPS site because I know they don’t update on the weekend. I don’t remember pacing this much when either of my boys were born.....

Fingerprints Submitted: Sept 7th
Class Taken and LTC-100 Submitted: Sept 27th
Background and Fingerprints Cleared: Oct 19th
Mailed: Oct 23rd

26 days from form submitted to mailed.

-Submitted supporting Docs about a case I didnt know was on my background 10/27
-All Green! Print Pending! 11/3

-Recieved 11/10

Probably would have been a week shorter had I known that I had this other incident on my background. (Was in a fist fight in 2003, the other guy tried to press charges, Magistrate CWOF'ed it, never though it went on my record since it never reached the judge. Also if it helps anyone else, I moved to TX this past June and lived in NH and MA and it doesnt seem to have delayed my application process by much if at all.

My original background check for my license was five days two of them were Saturday and Sunday my renewal took almost 2 months back in February

New to the forum, not sure if the is the proper intro but Im out of Amarillo just got mine in the mail. Anyone close to Amarillo??

My time line was wicked fast:

Took LTC test & class Oct 7th
Application everything that evening
Fingerprints that Tuesday the 10th
Received an email Wednesday morning the 11th
Was mailed and in my hands on the 18th.

I'm assuming since I've lived in Texas my whole life that helped, plus no trouble and or speed tickets.
27 years old married with no children.

The wait is killer. I've had my print pending status since 11/4. Everything else is green. Few more days maybe?

11/11 mailed status. 10/21 class, 10/23 finger prints and uploaded. 11/4 All a go but print pending, 11/11 mailed

11/1 everything submitted. 11/13 All approved and Waiting for License Printing now. Printed 11/16. Now just waiting for it in the mail.

Nothing appears when I try and check the status. Monday and Tuesday I at least saw a "submitted" response, now not even that.

Any ideas what this might mean??

If nothing appears, it could be that it's mailed and done!

But it's odd that your application hasn't progressed.
You should have gotten an email titled "License to Carry - Documents Received"
If not, are you SURE that you clicked the "attach" button after choosing the file?
I made that mistake. Chose the file, but didn't attach it!
