New Application Status

Submitted supporting documentation 2/9/17
Fingerprints done 2/10/17

I still have a TS Clearance from when I was in the Army (Retired in Nov 2014)
DD214 was submitted with all other documentation.
I guess I just wait until they update something on the website to show the current progress
Emailed DPS and received a return that stated " Your documentation was received on 02/09/2017. If additional documentation is required, you will be notified by mail"


Current status on the Texas DPS site shows
LICENSE APPLICATION STATUS: If you have a pending License to Carry a Handgun application, please allow sufficient time for processing. If you have not already done so, please submit all of the items listed on the checklist you received. DPS will notify you by mail if further information or additional documents are required. Once the application and documents have been received by Handgun Licensing and processing has begun, a more detailed status will appear on this page.

Let's see how long this takes now. I would think having a TS Security Clearance from my days in the Army would help speed it up. '
