I am not sure that she listed the arrest when completing the application online. If so and if she explained the situation, it may have been fine. The other form still would have likely been needed, but maybe it would have helped them find what they needed to find. I would certainly think they would have been able to figure out it was in a different state and find the details on their own. Send a letter with questions like they did or call. I thought it was funny that they showed it being in Texas when it clearly was not. They got the city name right, but wrong on the county and state. It was 2007 or 2008 I believe.

On the record, but should have been esponged or non-existent. I guess the record does not go away and has to be explained. Again, it was in another state. For whatever reason, the state of Texas showed it to be in (let's call it) "Anytown PD" and "Anytown County" in Texas. It was not even in Texas. The actual city in the correct state has been called and the process of requesting a document confirming the legal hiccup went nowhere beyond the car ride and holding time until dismissal three hours later. A Texas CHL-78Cwill likely have to be filed as well to be included as additional supporting documents. The letter from DPS was dated 1/13/2017 and today is 1/20/2017. Seemed to take a while for within the state mail. Once they receive the documents that will be uploaded, they should be able to move forward. Just an update for everyone.
here the crazy thing that I just don't understand.. they have the record right in front of them.. They already Know that nothing came from it, and They still want you to explain it ???? that just crazy bro...plus that not part of what they ask for when you did the app online, they ask if you had anything within a time frame if i'm not mistaken ... I've all but given up on Texas LTC just waiting on my Arizona CHL to come in the mail so I can send it off

Yup, getting my fingerprints tomorrow and sending off same day to Arizona!!! Actual packet was received 4 days from requesting one.

So I got the letter a couple days ago about supporting documents. I uploaded everything, hopefully it doesn't take 60-120 days. The lady said eligibility has to check it then they will ship it out. Hopefully no more hiccups.

What supporting documents did they want you to send? Abstract of your arrest and disposition from the police??

Speaking for my end, we have to request:

bill of information(charges)
disposition of minutes(null prossed)
include a self addressed stamped envelope and $13.50

The above once received from the other state along with the Texas form CHL-78C.

That should cover the additional supporting documents needed.

I just uploaded my court minute and another paper. Crazy cause the papers say too different charges. Even the county I went to jail in doesn't have the charge DPS pulled up.

Nothing new with my wife's processing status after the long weekend.

Really like your username, by the way! "TK421? TK421, do you copy??"
Yea I have no idea what happened with it. I'll be able to request a replacement on Friday so hopefully I have better luck with this one.

And Im surprised this username was still available! haha

Just sent in the abstract from Mississippi for my case from back in 1993. I didn't wait for the letter, but I'm sure one is on the way. Let's see if that's what they were waiting on. :banghead:

They may still want the CHL-78C completed and submitted as well.

My wife has not requested the information from the other state, but I plan on helping her with that soon.

My status changed today from status pending to mailed :cheers2: I had an unusual wait time. Everything received by DPS 02/15/16, last week of May I got a letter wanting court records of something stupid I did in 1987, mailed that 05/31/16 certified mail. Waited, and waited, and waited! Called DPS 01/17/17 for them to tell me that they never received my court papers, I'm thinking the mail man delivered it to the wrong building or something, I don't know, but lesson learned, I will never mail anything to DPS again. Electronically sent them the second time. Status changed from Background under review to print pending on the 20th, to mailed today. So happy this is all over with. I was starting to wonder if they had to go looking at my dental records or something there for a few months. Very nice lady at DPS, she said technically they should have cancelled the application after 90 days from not receiving the court records and then updated the module to make sure they wouldn't cancel it after I called in.

They already have it when I originally applied back in November with application.
