Status of DPS website for checking on your license progress?

#1

Post by mrbug »

Has anyone's status changed online in the past few days? When I called the CHL office the other day I was told there were problems with the online updating.

HMMMMMM>........My baloney meter is starting to twitch here. I sent in my original app. about a week earlier than you did, it took the person processing my packet longer to boot my fingerprint card back to me for a signature, and my status online still says information missing. If I had to guess I would think that not everyone in the office is keeping up with what they are supposed to be doing. It does not appear to be a problem with the website but appears more to do with what someone was supposed to enter into the website. That may explain why some people get their applications processed a whole lot quicker than others.
July 1 mailed the packet.
July 5 delivery confirmation received
July 9 DPS deposits the check
July 27 got notice that I failed to sign one of the fingerprint cards arggh
July 27 signed fingerprint card and mailed back to Austin
July 28 Delivery confirmation that fingerprint card was received at CHL office
August 8 sent email requesting pin
August 9 received pin via email
August 21 Website still shows application missing information called CHL office to be told that application is being processed and website is behind and has problems
August 23 No change in status

BTW endigo...the baloney meter is not for you. It is for what appears to be disinformation from the office.

Web Site Update Time

No offense taken. If you look at my timeline you will notice that it took them about 14 days from the time they received my Signed photo until they updated the web site to say "Proccessing Application".

When I called them on the 7th of August to enquire about my PIN, the nice lady told me that they were waiting on my signature. When I pointed out that they had recieved it on July 26th, she said wait a minute and she put me on hold. When she got back she said they had my signed photo. It was still a couple of days before the web site reflected this fact.

I don't think that they have a very efficeint means of updateing their web site, or accepting their mail.

My status just changed today to application completed.

I second the XD .45 compact... It's what I will be carrying.

See my ELITE timeline in my Signature :)

I called today to ask if my APP was free from ERRORS because it still said "Processing Application" the guy then says "Ohh it shows here we sent your card out on Monday. Everything was fine". Woohoo. 5 min later the site was updated.

Mine status just flipped today. They seem to be getting faster. I wonder how long the wait is now until they actually go out in the mail?

Your timeline is around 2 days off from mine. I'm sure yours went out in the mail yesterday.

They told me mine went out on Monday. Still haven't gotten it though. I'm expecting it tomorrow or Saturday or FOR SURE monday.
