Applied and did all paperwork and range quals on 7/24. Print pending as of this AM on 8/26. No too shabby, Texas. Love my state.

Re: "Waiting Room"
I submitted my LTC 20/11/15, had to submit more paperwork in may, and my status has been fingerprint review and background check both yellow since then. Is that normal, is there something i should do about that? Or am i just waiting around and looking at holsters...

Holy crap Vanilla, you're coming up on a year!!!
There is obviously something not right. You need to be phone the phone with them finding out what is going on behind the scenes with your application cause that's far far outside the norm.

Re: "Waiting Room"
I had not heard about calling the state rep before, I will try that on monday. I have never been able to get anywhere calling them directly. Every time i called, it would hang up on me after an automated response. I had to go in person and talk to the security guard, who called upstairs to get me the name of someone to find out what more they needed in may.pieces408 wrote:Wow yeah I second that. Needless to say i was surprised to see people getting theirs within a couple weeks, month, and months...

Sat in "pending submission of documents", had to harass them a bit to find out what they were missing..
Submitted proof of citizenship 8/16 - no confirmation
Continued to sit in "pending submission of documents" until 8/25
Status screen showed up 8/25
Background check finished 8/26
Sitting in print pending
According to them they didn't have all documents, therefore didn't start my packet, until 8/16. By that standard it has only taken all of about 10 days so far...
Wh00t! Now I can stop obsessively checking the status site 3 times a day...

Hello, I'm new here.

Found this forum 8-30-16 with the link to check my status. Not sure how to post a screen capture of my status, but it's all green and says mailed. Does this mean my plastic has been mailed?

Re: "Waiting Room"
Anyone else that can shed any light on their experience with the wait time if they lived out of state within the timeframe that the application asks for? Since the application asks for 5 years of residential addresses and I didn't live in TX 3 years ago I think it is gumming up my app. It probably also doesn't help that I've had 3 addresses in the 3 years I've been here.
All of my documents were submitted/accepted by the end of July. My background is the only thing under review and it's been that way for a month.

Re: "Waiting Room"
That's a good question. I think the times vary depending on what county or if they have to check with multiple counties one could be slow. I've had the same address for the 5 years and was all in on 7/24. I'm still under review. Like one of the posters said yesterday that he was told Harris county was the hold up. I'm sure the highly populated counties take longer to hear back from.
