I don't think I have ever been more excited to receive something in the mail as I was my LTC. For good reason my wife made fun of me for watching for the mailman. Anyway...

Our instructor advised us to upload the barcode with our app, maybe that helped with the turn around time.

Went on vacation over the weekend and wasn't able to check from Thursday through most of Sunday. As you know, I had to re-submit my CHL form because the instructor did not print his name and instructor number in the classroom section and TX DPS denied it and sent me a letter two weeks later.

Technically that gives them 180 days to issue my license since they needed more info. My hopes of a speedy turnaround had been dashed and my frequency of which I checked the status page started to space further and further apart (it went from 1 hour to 5 hours haha! ). I just got back into town this evening and low and behold my status page had been updated to show green across the board for me and that my LTC is Print Pending. I am beyond giddy right now.

From what others have said, it sounded like their computer glitch cleared up, because early last week it still showed they needed to do the background check, passport photo holder was yellow, and the classroom proficiency still stated that they mailed me and needed more info (I resubmitted that over a month ago and go a confirmation that same day - 6/20/16).

If you haven't checked your status lately, go check. It might have been updated with this latest website issue that they had.

Called my State Rep, Tan Parker,on Monday and he put in a call for me on Tuesday morning. I got a call today saying that my LTC will be Mailed Tomorrow.

Receive mailed letter from DPS - 6/17/16 - This was to inform me that my classroom section was incomplete because the instructor name and number were not printed on the form.

Resubmission of updated CHL-100 Form and E-mail Confirmation - 6/20/16

Status page stuck on needing CHL-100 information, background check, and passport holder photo all yellow during this time.

Status Page Update/Change (Print Pending): 7/24/16 - All statuses had changed to green except for bottom status was yellow.

My Passport Holder and Photo have always been green but on 7/11 I got a call from DPS, after I contacted my old state rep, saying they needed a new pic. Gal sent me an email and I replied to it with a pic. Didn't hear anything until I get a letter on 7/22 stating then needed a photo. Went and got passport photos the same day and sent it back in.

Tomorrow's 97 days on my renewal...think I'll be calling my old state rep again.
