Checked the mail on saturday, and my plastic came in! 40 Total days with an address change for plastic to be received. I'm out!

Re: "Waiting Room"
Called today. After a 30 min hold, the lady tells me that it's approved yesterday! No status change yet but should receive the hardware anytime now. I'm passing the hot seat to someone else!Geoleo3 wrote:How are you guys already getting it after just a month? I did mine 4/12 with all the docs and fingerprintd submitted. Is there a number that i can get through to an actual human to checky status?
One more thing though - I'm expecting to change address in 5 months when I move into a new house (I'll still own my current house), do I simply just do that online or is there another complicated process that I have to go through to get that changed? i.e., will my card be invalid if the address on there does not match my permanent address? Or should I just keep the address the same as is since I'm not selling the current home?
Re: "Waiting Room"
Just received an email from RSD stating,
"Our records indicate we have received your fingerprints and your application is processing. We appreciate your understanding and patience. This can take up to eight (8) business weeks to complete once your application is submitted and all documents are received."
Would this mean my original email from them stating up to six weeks is now reset to eight more weeks? I sure hope not.

Check their webpage, it can be done online. Pretty quick and painless actually. However, if during the changeover, you have to show to a LEO they may "sternly" tell you to 'get it corrected ASAP' even if you tell them you're working on it.

Sorry, probably. Their original six wk time frame was once everything was received and now possibly more like "We're so hammered with applications and people are now starting to take summer vaction time w/their families ...... Either way it is now happening, use this time to train and prepare, then enjoy!

What do you mean by changeover? like if I changed address while the application is ongoing? I assume that shouldn't be a problem now since I already got approved and my address won't change for another 5 months?
Re: "Waiting Room"
I went ahead and called. The gentleman was very polite and explained that I had been approved and should receive it within 14 days.pushpullpete wrote:LTCTLB wrote:Just received an email from RSD stating,

I mean, 5 months down the road or whenever you move, IF you do a change of address as you should then there will be a timeframe where your address on your licenses will not match your physical address where you are now residing. That is the 'changeover' to which I was refering. Sorry about that, I knew what I meant .

Re: "Waiting Room"
Ill make sure i dont get pulled over during that time! But the process is pretty quick right? Just change online and the new card with new address is sent within a week or two? Getting the DL changed will probably be a bigger pain lol
