Thinking about applying for an instructors license so that they can quit asking me to apply 10 times a day.

Hey, I say jump into the instructor bandwagon while the LTC frenzy is still hot! My local range is ALWAYS FULL and has been since November something. When I took my class we had almost 40 people. Everyone showed up (which instructor said was unheard of), and we had people standing without a chair. I've been considering the same thing myself, getting an instructor's license.

I have the tiniest suspicion they are telling everyone who calls in recently that their application has been approved, then work on it with priority to get it done. Two of us both called this morning and were told almost the exact same line, verbatim. "As far as your application, it looks like our technicians selected it for issue as of April 29, which is today, so you should expect it within 7-10 business days from today." The very same wording.

Sounds like they are getting caught up. I can only imagine that the reason they are processing the new ones really fast is because they are trying to prevent further backlog. So they likely have split teams working on either side.

Notice that my friends all in confirmation date was almost 30 days after mine. He received plastic 3 weeks faster than I did..

There's not really any rhyme or reason to it at this point... I am hopeful to receive mine today. Others in my town have gotten theirs in a day or two after status change. We have awesome mail carriers here.

Much faster than I was expecting, called RSD yesterday to confirm receipt of all necessary documents and the nice lady told me that it was going to print tomorrow (today, 4/29)....its even going to beat my stealthgear holster which was ordered the same day as I applied for LTC.

Was this your first time applying? I was all in 3/10 and was told today they haven't even look at my application.
