12 weeks? That'd be nice. At 13 weeks and 3 days myself. Everyone else I know either has already been approved or has received their license already. My dad's dates are the same as mine as he was approved yesterday. I feel like I am being discriminated against because of my age (26 almost 27).

Day 90, LTC in the mailbox today. Celebrated by buying a new Sig and bypassing the NICS check.

Hello I'm new to the forum. I'm retired US Army as of Aug 2013. My wife works at USAA in San Antonio. We submitted our paperwork, fingerprinted, and took our LTC/CHL class together. 27 April puts us at the two month mark for waiting. When I contacted the Texas DPS they indicated it could take up to five months.

In my experience they are doing the new applications first. Bet you get yours before I get mine.

Congratulations!

Which Sig did you buy? I've been looking at the P938s for a while now...

No - the website still hasn't changed. I'm wondering if it will change once the printing is completed and its mailed.. :headscratch

Found a good deal on the SP2022 (the "Poor Man's Sig") in .40 S&W. Goes nicely with my P226, though. ;-)

I've got a Glock 22 and that thing is way too large to carry without practically screaming "Hey, look at me, I'm carrying!!!", and love .40 S&W purely from a fun to shoot standpoint. I'm going to work the Sig into my daily carry rotation with my VP9 and Walther PPX.

The PPX and the SP2022, even though their considered the red headed stepchildren of their respective brands, are incredibly underrated and overshadowed by their more expensive brethren.

God forbid if you ever have to pull your weapon in any circumstance, I'm pretty sure no-one will be concerned that you have something that many consider to be "underrated". I agree with you: I think your SP2022 is an excellent choice. I was planning on carrying my small .380, but I think I'm reconsidering.
