I'm seeing a lot of folks, some 1st timers, posting w/ a timeline close to mine that are receiving status changes, etc. Getting closer and getting excited.

Still disappointing to see those that were all in and confirmed well after me that are getting status updates and plastic in the mail.......

I have never tried to contact RDS but I just got a email from them saying Due to a large increase in applications customer service reps are temporarily assisting in processing applications. At this time we are diligently working to process within statutory mandates. Not really sure why they sent me an "update".

I'm at 91 days now, maybe I can give Teachman some company at 180 days. At this point, I expect it to take another 90. Why wouldn't it?

Edit: ha, my dad's status just changed so looks he's good. Same dates as me and everything. Now I'm really depressed.

Not sure if this is the result of me getting senators involved, but I just got a response to an email I sent on Sunday to DPS:

So basically, my app has been sitting there doing nothing all this time. I am not hopeful that the secretary will be able to do anything because she is technically doing what I just did, sent them an email asking what the deal is.

I don't know if it is a coincidence or not but I just received a email from RSD today. After me joining this forum and writing a email to my state Representative yesterday. And after two emails to the RSD. Basically says nothing. Just to still wait...

Contacted DPS on 3/4/2016 @ 4:30pm > comfirmed receipt of all paperwork. I asked about the 60 Day period, she told me that that was an approximate turn around time and that the time for processing starts once they receive all paperwork. She also told me that they were still working on mid December and expect delays that it would proably be longer than 60 days from 1/26/2016.

I will update upon new information!

4/19/2016 Update: Called RSD today @ 5:45pm Daniel answered after 40 minutes holding. I told him that I thought I was at 90 Days All in and haven't heard anything and was just curious as to my status. Gave DL and he came back with "you haven't heard from us because we don't need anything further from you, your application has been APPROVED!, give it till the end of the week to get it entered in the system, then 10 to 14 Days to receive it in the mail. Ok, not there yet , but I am practicing my Walley Walk!

Update: 4-22-2016 Status Changed around 7:00am. Daniel said it should happen today and it did. Now is the 10 to 14 Day wait that he predicted. Hopefully sooner. I will update once received.

It happened!!! I got a status change finally! Here's my brief timeline.

All in Jan 21st, Fingerprints a week later and status change today (Jan 22nd)

Hang in there guys your time will come! It feels like forever but it comes around! No I have the long anticipated wait of actually receiving my LTC in the mail.

Omg Omg Omg I got status change today I checked this morning and nothing. I decided to check at 11:45 pm and there it was status change but still no conformation email.
Now let's see how long it takes for plastic in hand.I was all in one 02/05/16
Does anyone know how long it takes after status change?

1st Status Check February 20th - "Still Processing Please Give us More Time," Per Customer Service
2nd Status Check March 3, 2016 "Still Processing Please Give us More Time," Per CUstomer Service
3rd Status Check March 16, 2016 "Stille Processing Please Give Us More Timne," Per Customer Service
4th Status Check March 23, 2016: I asked if they had all the documents they needed. Customer Service Said, "Yes."
5th Status Check April 4, 2016: "Please be patient as we have had an influx of applications." I requested to speak to a manger. We'll have a manager call you. NO CALL since April 15, 2016.
6th Status Check April 15, 2016: Ebony (Customer Service),"It is still in Process." I said, "It's been in "BACKGROUND CHECK" since February. I want to speak to a manager." Manager comes to the phone after 20 minutes of waiting. Manager: "Mr. B., Your background check has cleared." You should receive your card within 4-5 days.
7th Status Check April 18, 2016: I called to check status. Told application is now in FEDERAL BACKGROUND CHECK. STATE WAS CLEARED. I asked to speak to a manager. Angela, Manager, Said, "I don't know who told you that you background was cleared, but they were wrong". I want to speak to a director someone over you. "I am the Team Lead," She said. Let's get Ebony the prior operator on the phone. She said, I cannot do that. I said, I thought you wanted to fix this and correct any training errors. She hung up on me.
8th Status Check April 22, 2016: I was told that my application has been given to a manager for expediting. TRANSLATION: They DROPPED THE BALL.
THE STATE SHOULD HAVE CONTRACTED OUT THIS PROCESS. DPS CANNOT HANDLE IT.....

Wow, bad luck. Probably what is happening to me though too. I hate to complain though, I know it isn't all their fault. They are horribly unorganized though.
