Well, I tried emailing and got the generic automated response saying its still in progress. I've tried calling and they're too busy to answer. I emailed my representative and he never answered. Now I've resorted to taking it to my senator and hope she takes action.

LTC class - 2/6
Application submitted - 2/8
Fingerprints taken - 2/15
Fingerprints received - 2/17
Website status change - ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Level of frustration - 100

I'm joining the line-up guys...

Ok, well just got off the phone with RSD. My application was sent to print on April 18th!!!!! :hurry:
However, I'm still not showing a status update online. She did advise that it would be anywhere from 14-21 business days once it's sent to print to arrive. (I'm kind of thinking the printers are getting overwhelmed too...)

All in date is Jan 28.
Last month, I e-mailed DPS and received no response.
Last week, I called my state rep and state senator, both of whom promised to look into it. So far, I've received no response.
Yesterday, I e-mailed the Governor's office. No response.
This morning, I called the number that has always previously resulted in: Our agents are too busy . . . hang up. But this time (7:45 a.m.), I was put on hold. After holding for 50 minutes, I got a live person (an extremely nice lady) who told me that my license was still in processing and to be patient.

So, the wait continues.

As soon as I pulled the trigger on my last post, I received a notification from the Governor's office that they have reached out to the DPS on my behalf. I guess we will see.

I am for a lack of a better word "irritated"! My license was mailed out on the 15th and just now arrived. That is not why I am irritated. I am irritated because after that awful wait and all the anticipation, my license arrived with my correct height, weight, address, DL number, hair color and eye color but HAS SOMEONE ELSE'S PHOTO AND SIGNATURE ON IT!! They use your driver's license photo! If my drivers license number is correct on my carry license, then how did that happen!?! Im Caucasian, red hair, blue eyes and 30yrs old. The guy on my license is 40-45yrs old and Hispanic! Now I have to wait for a re-issue and snail mail all over again!

Well, officially 90 days today. And just like every other day it was a disappointing walk to the mailbox. Haven't heard back from my Senator secretary yet... if I do hear back. I think something is wrong at this point. But aren't they supposed to contact if so?

1. Applicant/Licensee's Medical History Form which is completed by an M.D.
2. Authorization for Release Form which is completed by the applicant

Without these completed forms, and possibly even with them, you are probably adding an addition two months to your wait. Don't ask me how I know. I got my forms after getting my State Representative involved with finding out the status of my application.
I got these forms from the Medical Advisory Board. They were printed out with my name and application number on it. If someone needs them I suggest contacting their State Representative like I did. I tried to find them online to download myself but I could not find them.

First post, ive been patiently scrolling for some weeks now. all in 2/16/2016. After reading someone's post I got the courage to E-mail my state Rep. on Monday and they called back Tuesday, lady assured me that they had talked to supervisor at DPS and that I should receive a call from them shortly about my application status. Well today I got a call from a gentleman from DPS letting me know that my LTC is in the mail and wait the 5-10 business days. Looks like this is my first and last post.

This is the email I got on Monday:
Dear Mr. ____,

I would be happy to check on the status of your application- I just need your Texas driver's license number and your birthdate. Thank you for your understanding of the backlog that DPS is working through-their applications have shot up over 100% since the start of the new year. When I have your information I will get it submitted promptly.

Thank you,
Emily Dove
Office of Sen. Larry Taylor
How long does it generally take to get a response back after that? I did get one after I sent in the info requested, but nothing as far as the results yet. IS DPS likely to call me?
