I have been trying to call dps but no luck. Keep on getting a machine that says Due to high call volumes our representatives are not available to assist you. Any suggestions would be helpfull

Best advice is to be patient! (I know easier said than done) They have barely made it halfway through January... It generally takes every bit of 12 weeks. My all in date is 1-25, its so close I can taste it!

For some unknown reason a few February apps have been approved but I wouldn't bank on being one of them! Set your countdown clock for 12 weeks sit back and relax...... Good Luck!!!

Looks like I'm about half way there... 12 week mark that is... June 1st makes 80 days for me! Still long ways out...

Instead of them saying 6 weeks, they should just say,"good luck."

A few people have mentioned in the past that DPS supposedly hired some more help. I'm not seeing a difference in the turn around times. The average turn around time in December was 80+ days, it's still 80+ days as of today. Nothing has changed.

I was told by the rep that they hired help and also that they are working until 7PM and seven days a week. Sounds like a bunch of our tax money wasted if you ask me.

I think if they just had a way to update us on the website on what our status is. They could spend less money on the LTC call center and more on actually having people work on LTC licensing.

Right now, I do believe they are working as fast as they can.

Called 4-6 was told it mailed that day
4-13 website updated.

No I called them. Only took about 30 minutes to get put on hold. Then waited another 45 minutes.

Feb 4 one email back don't know what one they got my app or wife's app
Feb 7 emailed asked if they got both

Feb 18 resubmitted both app to her and my email for return
Feb 21 got email said they had gotten one to each email
April 5 started calling left message got call back said the had it would expedited
April 12 Web site changed
April 14 card came in mail

I called at the beginning of April and was told they had everything and to wait longer.

69 days. I was actually surprised to see it. Made my day.

Seems to me like this whole thing is random. Would be nice to get some consistency and some type of way to see our status.

I feel like I'm hitting a nail that's flush with a 2x4 by saying the same thing over and over.

4/5 - Called RSD and was told application approved, should be getting card in 7-14 days
4/12 - Online status changed
4/13 - CARD IN HAND!

Counting from the date I got confirmation e-mail: 83 days

Received confirmation: 3/7

Was told 6 weeks by more than 1 source, now, the lady today told me "Oh well, we originally said 6 weeks, but now we are requesting more time.
I, too, like someone else on here said, have had both federal and state level background checks. This is dumb. So Maybe by the end of the summer I'll have my license. Hope I'm not dead by then.
