Call (512) 424-7293 to check your status. Press 1 asap after the automated system begins...Might have to do this many times before getting through. Good Luck.

I got confirmation two days before you and I'm still waiting so let me know what you hear back.

THe voice for the getting through message is a different person than the voice for we are to busy. If you here the voice for we are to busy, immediately hang up and call back. Usually works after a few times. Also do not listen to the recording in the beginning, just press 1 right off the bat.

Seriously? 25year old misdemeanor? Was it a disqualifying one at that?

I was honest on my application and listed the misdemeanor and a felony that was dismissed. I am sure it is the dismissed felony that is giving me fits. I have held a Top Secret clearance in the Army since then and had no problem with that background check.
Got through this morning and spoke with a very nice lady who told me she couldn't understand why I hadn't heard anything. She took my phone # and said she would have the eligibility department give me me a call back.

Did they call you? Never mind I didn't realize you just posted this. Let us know if you hear back please.
I never did get a call back, but as of this morning, the website has changed!!! :anamatedbanana

congrats rolson!!

Ok I spoke with a lady. She told me all my information was received on 1-13-16. She also said it takes 12weeks to hear something back. Food for thought I guess. I was told 30-60 days at first and now it's 12 weeks. The waiting game continues for me. They better bet I'll be calling again on 4-13-16.

Honestly, I think they'd be getting way fewer calls and complaints if they said "It'll be 15 weeks" and churned 'em out in 10-12. Better to overestimate and surprise folks than the opposite.

greeting all, long time lurker, first time poster.

wanted to take a moment to share a terrible story.

After the incident in CA (San Bernardino), my father-in-law and i decided now was the time to get our license. we were finally able to get into a class and completed it Tuesday, Dec 29th 2015. At the end of the day, i scanned our files along with the receipts and uploaded them to the website. (that was 78 days ago)

for the past few weeks, i have been checking online to see if there was any status change, but no. i emailed them week before last and still no reply. it was not until today that i finally broke down and called.

"you should be getting a letter in the mail anytime now, you forgot to date your signature form and will need to resubmit. :banghead: :bigmouth :confused5 you can expect the process to be another 8-12 weeks."

i'm only an hour drive from austin, think i can turn this in and just wait in the lobby for them to complete the paperwork? christ, it will be june before i am able to get my chl. that's 6 months!
