I feel the same. The girl on the phone said it was approved, but I don't have it yet and it doesn't say it online. I'll believe it when I see it. My pessimistic self says she was lying to get me off the phone LOL

It never will say you are "approved," what you will see is another box show up online that allows you to change your address, report a stolen license etc. when you see that box, you are approved and about to receive your license.

Why would she lie to get you off the phone? No one's interest is served by that. IMHO that's an awful thing to say about someone who is trying to help you.

I know it won't say it but the page will change. That office is known for telling people all manner of things to get them off the phone. No one's interests are served by putting in the confirmation email 6 weeks or simply telling people it has not been long enough when they call or the phone message that they can update you by phone after 30 days or that they will answer an email. I don't know any of them and have no reason to put trust in any of them. Trust is something earned and that office has done nothing to earn trust. If they were a normal business, they would be out of business by now for their business practices. Therefore, I will believe it when I see it. Sorry but I am VERY PESSIMISTIC. I expect the worst and hope for better. That way when the worst happens I am not let down and if something better happens I am pleasantly surprised.

My Dad used to say, "if everyone did everything alike no one would ever leave home"

Reckon that is true in our views. Nothing wrong with that.

Best wishes.

Nothing against the young lady, just I grew up not trusting anyone until they earned it. Led to a lot less heart break.

Agree to disagree :tiphat:

Is there a list of people that we will run into while calling? Sounds like there are several with a reputation.

You're lucky to get through to anyone, much less be picky about who you speak with. Calling in is mostly a hugely frustrating waste of time.

60 days today from when I received an email reply that stated "RSD received all documents please allow 6 weeks for processing".

I have not called due to what I read on this board that it wouldn't do me any good just cause more frustration so I wait. :totap:

Hopefully they have started the January submissions! I thought I read where somebody who submitted in January at least had a website change!

I also read where somebody said they were at 75 days :banghead: wow I hope I am not posting that in the next 15 days.

Oh well so the wait goes on :rules:

Congrats to all that have got their plastic and patience to those of us who are still waiting patiently. :tiphat:

Tip: wait 50 business days from when you know RSD has everything they require for your circumstance. I know it says 60 days and up to 180- but they don't work nights weekends and holidays so it's common sense to count business days.

The in depth background examination of your physical mental financial and criminal background will also guarantee that applications will advance at different speeds.

Last tip- when/if you call as soon as the recording starts hit #1. This will do one of two things- send you to a waiting que or a recording that they are busy to call back. If it doesn't send you to a waiting que- hang up speed dial back immediately. You'll get to the waiting wye pretty quickly that way.

I sent an email directly to the manager for the licensing division this morning recommending that he take a look at this forum, if he hasn't already, to see what sort of frustrations people have been experiencing, suggesting that a handful of small changes to their process might help relieve some of the frustration. If not for those of us who have already been waiting a while, then for those who come after...

You may be with a group of us who applied during that time who, instead of Christmas, got Pass Over.
