Five weeks, still waiting. I have been unable to talk to anyone on the phone for a status update. No answer to my email inquiry. Since I mailed my forms in, I assume there is no online status update available?

Online application submitted: 12/31/2015
Fingerprints: 1/5/2016
LTC Class completed: 1/16/2016
Forms mailed: 1/19/2016

Didn't you apply online with DPS? That's the only way to apply for a LTC that I'm aware of. There's no reason why you can't go back there and see your status.

Yes, I submitted the application and paid the fee online on New Years Eve, 12/31/15. I sent in the fingerprint receipt and instructors form in the mail, 1/19/2016. I was emailed a receipt with a 13 digit code after the initial application was completed online. I assume this code (405CHxxxxxxxx) is my pin?

And you can't login to the site to check the your status?
Are you getting an error? What's it say when you try?

That's what it's supposed to read when your license is not ready yet. You have at least another several weeks to go before you can expect your license & the website to change. Have you called them yet? I would call next week just to verify they received ALL documents. If you have a squeaky clean history (record) it takes around 45-60 days before you should check with them, if not so squeaky clean record then you're looking at 60-90 days.

You should call right at 7am on a Wed-Fri. Never call on a Monday. You can also call around 6:30pm Wed-Fri. Also, when you call you can hit zero to talk to someone much faster. Thursday's & Friday's are slowest days of the week. Sometimes you can select other departments, like vehicle inspection & you might get someone who also handles LTC, but kinda hit or miss.

It'll be to you any day now so hang in there and congrats!

Keep practicing around your house as much as possible and that includes getting in and out of your vehicle and sitting in it as well.

Other than that just stay safe.

Hopefully the wait times will decrease, they just had a major rush in December and that' seems to be what's been causing the longer waits.

Practice carrying around your house, entering and exiting your vehicle and stay safe!
