Thanks for the welcome to the board! I have no clue how some of you all got your card in 2-3 weeks that's simply amazing. I had to go through way more extensive checks fbi fingerprinting with local state and federal checks for my registered nurses license and I have that so I figured why the long wait and backlog for my background check, doesn't make any since, just feel like one big dummy because everyone got theirs before me I'll get over. Hook em and GO COWBOYS!!!! :patriot:

There have been many people, including myself, who have had numerous background checks from various state and federal agencies and it does not speed up the process.
The DPS has their own procedures which they must follow. Sometimes it takes longer than we would like. Hang in there!

Boss told me on my way home from work I had a piece of mail she thought was my license... needless to say I started to plan my Wally Walk.

Got home...it was the HOA dues - brutal!

The wait continues...

I am just a couple days behind you, I received confirmation of supporting documents Nov 12. But I have some arrest, so I am anticipating a longer wait.

Class and application on 11/7
Fingerprints 11/9
Ch-100 and supporting documents 11/10
Confirmation received 11/12.

Fingerprints 11/06
Class 11/07
All documents received 11/09
Website changed 12/08

So excited!

TOTAL bull waiting this long. I don't get it. I would accept the wait if DPS would just say if one has an arrest there is an automatic delay and without an arrest an application will be on express lane.

I agree. When i got my Utah license from the time i mailed it untill i recieved it was 3 weeks, and that was for nonresident license.

It's common knowledge for the vets her on the forum that CHL apps go much faster for applicants who have never been arrested before vs those that have. For those that have, their apps go to another office of evaluators & they get assigned to individual persons. This is not a fast process either.

I think Utah has a population of just under 3 million. Texas has a population of like 27-28 million.

While I would like it to be a faster process, it appears our wait is very small compared to the folks who got theirs years ago, so I am not going to complain. I am just going to assume 60 days, and if it happens sooner...awesome.
