Wondering about waiting.

#1

Post by whatwouldjacobdo »

I got confirmation e mail of supporting documents received on Oct. 9. Website hasn't changed for me yet. I'm wondering how some people are saying they got their license in 13 days and some are saying over 30. Friday is one calendar month since I received confirmation. Am I just stressing too much?

I just hung up the phone with the RSD folks. I was on hold for less than one minute. Spoke to a nice lady who said I was in the background check process right now. She gave me the "60 day" line too. Hoping they underpromise and overdeliver like several people on here are saying...

Go ahead and give them another call. My husband was told he was still in the background phase when he called the first time. A week later he called back ( I had received my license in the mail) and he was told something popped up on his background. He was sent to a technician for review, so it will be a while before he gets his. We both received confirmation email on 10/19. I received my card 11/16. Good luck!

I'm at the 30 plus days myself. I have called several times and was told its in process. My wife received hers in 15 days and we submitted everything at the same time???

Just called in again. My call timer says one minute. That's for the whole call. So kudos on the prompt phone service, DPS. Also, kudos to Victor, who answered my call and was very friendly. He said it had been in the background check for over two weeks and they hadn't "requested any extra info" and that I should have mine in a couple of weeks!!!

Does anybody read the law?

Don't fret until the statutes say you should.

Yes, I have read the law. But the law doesn't specify why some people get theirs in a couple of weeks and some take longer. That's why this forum is great, so people can share their experiences.
Jeez, you're a mod?
