Technician Review

I called dps today and was told that my background check is under review by a technician. The guy said that it could take up to 60 days. I listed all arrests on my application. I don't have any disqualifying arrests. No felonies and my misdemeanors are over 10 yrs old. I'm confused of why my background check was sent to a technician . Has anyone had this happen?

Normal. They send all applications with any arrest to a technician for review. If there are none disqualifying, or not a whole lot to review, then shouldn't take that long.

Mine went for technician review as well. I received an answer to my email saying I would see no change in the website for 3-4 weeks. Well, 2 weeks to the day that I received that email, the website changed! Hope to have my plastic in a few days.

To the OP, I hope that you sent letters of disposition of your arrests along with your application. Otherwise you will be getting a letter from DPS requesting them.
