If your timeline is to be anything like mine you should see the status change on Friday and get the plastic 7/31 or 8/01.

Good luck.

p-89,

I wish I could say you are completely correct. But what I have seen on this board and some others is that processing is very inconsistent in regards to the timeline variable - the amount of turnaround time for process completion. I've seen some go only 28 days door to door and others much longer than the 60 days. I'm on day 49 today since DPS/CHL received the application package on June 06, 2007. On the DPS/CHL web site, I still read the "processing application" status.

I have also read that the bureau that processes these applications are under-staffed but I still think they ought to fix the problem regarding inconsistent processing times somehow. Some of the inconsistent time has to do with variables. There are 254 different counties, 50 states, and other very different factors to consider in the process. Each individual application is likely to be different.

I always seem to find things to bang my head on the wall about too. Sometimes, I think it is a hereditary thing passed down from our parents.
