Cell Phone Ring tones

#1

Post by Liberty »

We changed cell phone companys this week and got 3 new phones. I was trying to pesonalize mine, by giving it a unique ring tone.
Darn those free ring tones are pretty expensive . You have to sign up for a service, Yuch.. I found this free program( no strings attached) that can edit mp3's.Its available in several Unix flavors and for the Mac. My phone now rings the first couple of bars of The theme song "The Good The Bad and the Ugly" when anyone calls me.

Now the fun begins.. customized rings for different callers

You can also use Itunes to convert songs to mp3, as long as they are not locked up by DRM.

And if a file's locked down by DRM, you can download OpD2d to capture the audio as it goes through your sound card. :) Well...I don't know if there's a version for anything but PC, but it's still good to know. :)

I've actually purchased songs from Itunes, and accidentally gotten the DRM. To get around it, I've just burned it to a cd, and then ripped it that way.
