.45 acp headstamp?

#1

Post by Grayling813 »

I have a few pieces of brass in a bag of .45acp that was given to me that has a headstamp "F C 5". I didn't think anything about them until I ran them through the sizing die and there was no resistance like I had on all the other cases.

Can anyone confirm these are actually safe to reload .45 ACP cases?

The interweb experts say Federal, 1955. If so, they are only 64 years old.

F C = Federal Cartridge.
My #2 choice in brass after Starline.
