I Mailed my bullet order in Tuesday of last week to Amy in Ranger, Tex. & received my bullets on Monday of this week. Six day turnaround. Have been busy w/ a large family funeral so the delay. I tried this last night & wanted to get pictures of the bullets. They look good. It has been a while & I can't figure it out again with it written down in front of me.
I am sorry & will get pics when I can get the son-in-law over again to reinstruct. I will learn to do that on my own before I die. Lord grant me to live to a ripe old age of 968. Methuselah can still have the record.
My order was 230 gr. cast LRN. They are packed in heave plastic bags 250 to the bag. I like that. Each bag is completely labelled Cal.45 230 gr LRN sized .451.
I weighed 25. Average on my RCBS scales was 227.8. 227 was the lightest 229 the heaviest.
Measured the same 25. Round .451 - 100% uniform. Hight .665-.669. Most .666-667. Very uniform. Symetry excellent. When I left the foundry I was Class A machinist & metal patternmaker, shift leadman. Her molds are symetrical & tight.
Lube ring is uniform. Bullets are very clean. Lube is in the ring & no pieces sticking on bullet somewhere that needs cleaning or gum up dies. This is much cleaner than the ones I got from last supplier.
.050 Chamfer at base is also very uniform.
Base molding mark is flush.
I am well pleased w/ the bullets. Will do this again.
Right now I hope I can load ammo as good as the bullets.

Thanks LT, that was a great report. When I get back from Vegas next week I too will be placing an order.
I don't usually shoot lead but at most handgun velocities it is a very good, and inexpensive, alternative to jacketed bullets.
Good to hear that Amy is doing it right. Now it is up to us to see that she gets the notice and business that it
appears she deserves.
Kind Regards,
Tom

Loaded up 450 of Amy's bullets tonight. That is all the brass I had ready. They load good & look good. Well satisfied w/ the lead. In the morning will see if the stuff can hit anything. Amy, do you guarantee accuracy?

I don't think I can guarantee accuracy beyond your gun and ability, but if you shoot enough of them it will cure bursitis :D

I don't shoot as much as some on the forum but will run 2000 reloads a yr. My loading has improved & if they keep doing as good as this batch looks my PD stuff will be all I buy. Like to get my practice time up to about 3K a yr. Preacher schedule & work too, that don't leave a lot of yard mowng time.

A website or contact info would be helpful.

Derf00 & CCV -
Go to the bottom of Amy's post and click the "WWW" bar, it will take you to her PGB website.
Derf00 - glad to see someone from Abilene here, I lived there for several years working in the a/c & refrigeration business. Great town, lots of good people there. I sure miss it.

Jlaw and Derf00 -
I am originally from Abilene too. Graduated from Abilene High in 19... uh, well, several years ago. Went to Hardin Simmons for awhile and then escaped to the big city. Haven't been back in a long time. It's a good place to be from.

The website lists a shipping address in California. Was the whole shebang moved to Ranger just recently?

Call before ordering. She is in Texas from California. May have to move from Ranger. Bullets are great.

I had the opportunity to meet Amy at the Denton TX gun show a few weeks ago...
Had an enjoyable conversation... she seems knowledgeable and very interested in good customer service.
