2 points for the Girlfriend and her eyes

Hello to all,

Ok, since I have gotten my plastic in hand, I have carried every moment possible!!

Side Note: Its interesting how seldom I drink now!!

It's difficult to find interest places to be entertained and carry. Typically, I try to go to a place that has a full food menu. So just the other night my girlfriend wanted to play pool. The only place that wasn't a "hole in the wall" that I could think of was Fox and the Hound. Upon entering, I looked hard!! Up the doors, entrance, walls where the lady I.D.'s you....Nothing. Halfway into the first game of pool, my girlfriend says "you know this is a 51% place and I hope your not carrying" I said where? My heart dropped! I knew I looked thoroughly. As she shows me, through window near the corner of the entry wall was 3 signs, "51%". How in the Hell do they expect anyone to see those signs? It wasnt front facing on the wall beyond the entry doors, it was on right "L" of the wall.

Needless to say, I removed and placed it in the car. But what if, she wouldn't have noticed. Man, it could have gone bad.

I am glad to know educating my girlfriend about the carry laws payed off.

Keep alert.

Next time you go there, look for a copy of their license and see if it says "Sign = Red" or "Sign = Blue", maybe the 51% sign is posted improperly.

While Fox and Hound serves food, I can tell you it is not near enough to be 51%. Lots of alcohol sales, so I am sure it is off limits.

Not sure which Fox and Hound you were at, but the one at Midway and Rosemeade in Dallas has the 51% sign just above eye level on the wall opposite the front door.

F&H is absolutely 51%. Plenty of people go there on weekends to watch college football and pro football, and happy hours during the week. Most of the food they sell is regular bar food, though they do have some other fancier stuff on the menu, but I can easily believe they're a 51% establishment.

Had the same reaction seeing a 51% sign at Stone Werks (1604/Blanco) in San Antonio. The sign is on the wall inside the door at knee level, behind a plant. I've looked on other occasions and not spotted it. Granted the bar is large and popular, but it is also a full service restaurant. By the way, is revenue gross sales or profit?
I'm tending not to carry inside if I can't find one sign or the other.

Sales. There are places that make no profits. It would be kinda hard to determine what 51% is then, eh?

Oh crap. I never saw a sign there. Well, the food was gross, so I will not be going back.
