I think of little guns as akin to mopeds. When you don't need to transport people or stuff, the weather's good, and you're not in a hurry, the moped fits the bill just fine. But when you're caught away from shelter as an unexpected thunderstorm rolls in, a full size car looks like a significantly better all around deal, and it works when the sun shines too.baldeagle wrote:Excaliber, I'm glad you wrote that. I've been experimenting with different carry positions for my Sig P226. It's a full sized service weapon, so it's not easy to conceal. I keep thinking that maybe I need a smaller gun. After reading what you wrote, I'm thinking maybe I need to do a better job of finding ways to conceal the Sig. If I have to spend a little extra to do that well, it will be worth it if I'm ever in one of those situations.
Now, being able to legally carry, that's another issue entirely. It seems the State of Texas is bound and determined to never issue me a license.
The wait for plastic is sorta like waiting for water to boil. If you watch the pot, it takes forever. If you walk away, pay it no attention, and come back in a bit it's roilin' and boilin' big time.
Your license will appear in the mail before you know it.
