Here's 2 reasons to carry at home:

http://www.kvue.com/news/newton/stories ... 1c63b.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
http://www.kvue.com/news/local/stories/ ... d16d6.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The 2nd story doesn't say what part of the city the crimes were in other than not where the criminals lived.

Commenting on what the male student in the first story said:
He said and I'm summing it up here that he was against those guys defending themselves because the kids they shot died. So If some sicko was placing this scholarly fellow under considerable bodily harm or some possible crime to his property nooone is to DEFEND him or come to his aid because it could possibly result in the assailants death. If he complianes just remind him of his "living will" stated there in the article.

O.k., so that was the long way of saying that people like this only take this postion against self preservation when its not them trying to be preserved(not dead). + 2 cents

Sounds like something "The Most Interesting Man In The World" would say. ;-)

Anyway, someone in the texasguntalk.com forums puts it best...Carry 24/7 or guess right.

Anybody read the "Armed Citizen" column in the NRA magazines each month? Usually 2 or 3 of them happen while the victim is at home.

I always try to keep one within reach. The One with the Wagging Finger snickered at first but after a few explanations I just get "The Look" sometimes. :smilelol5: "rlol"

After the night of the car burglary, when I went crashing through the bedroom one way with a flashlight in hand, and crashing back the other way with two guns in my hands and the flashlight in my teeth, she suggested keeping something bigger elsewhere in the house. :mrgreen:

DONT TREAD ON ME

I may be a minority in this situation but I OC while at home. My 1911 is always on my side in its nice lil Blackhawk Serpa.

I do this for two reasons...

1. is its a deterrent to thugs casing the subdivision
2. its easier accessable in case its needed
