Need a BBQ Rig?

#1

Post by The Annoyed Man »

I just rant across this website: http://www.savoyleather.com.

Most of the holsters are a little too colorful for my personal tastes, but they look beautifully done.

Looks like an extreme cant on most of them. Means it needs to be carried further back than I prefer.
Looks like nice work though.

I liked that they are IWB & OWB compatible.

Most are too "colorful" for my taste, but it looks like he does superior work. :tiphat:

Shame they don't make the $100 bill holster for the HiPoint 9mm, they'd go so well together...

It might be nice to have a holster that costs more than the gun. ;-)

For beautiful custom leather work, check out www.rdwarrenleather.com. Randy does 1911's and a few other models. He does 4-5 holster designs, and he does them very well. You can choose your holster type, stamping pattern, belt loop size, etc, and he doesn't charge extra for those modifications. Best of all, he is FAST. I had my two sets of holsters and mag pouches in less than 3 weeks. I highly recommend hos snap under design. It is a beautiful holster that also conceals very well. Be advised that he does not make belts. He does holsters as a hobby, not a profession (although he could) and he says belts are boring to make.

It does! Well executed, without a lot of bling.

Sadly, he doesn't make holsters for the M&P. I tried to send him a note via the contact page on his website, but no indication whether the message went through or not.

I have been following this guy for a while on Facebook. His work is something else. I would love to have the crusader version but for two reasons I can't see myself wearing a 250 holster. I would be afraid of getting it dirty. And if I had to shoot someone I would not want to be in the stand having to justify my choice of holster especially if the other person was in a protected class.

I really love mine. The Avenger style I bought from him doesn't really work as well for me as I'd hoped, although that is no fault of the maker. ITs a beautiful holster. The snap under and matching two mag pouch I ordered for my 1911, however, are SUPERB. Beautiful enough to display, but it holds the pistol so close and comfortably that I can conceal even in shorts and a t-shirt. I'll be ordering the same one for my Glock in the coming months, and for any other pistol I get that he makes holsters for.
