DPMS=good
Oly Arms= Bad or at least thats the general consensus on ar15.com.
The DPMS have nice upper to lower fit and look higher quality than Oly Arms. Dont rule out Bushmasters either.

I don't know about Dallas proper, but if you expand your range a bit Cheaper Than Dirt in Ft Worth usually has DPMS Panther Carbines for $699.
Actually, they are on sale right now for $599, but sold out. They also have a good stock of AR parts and accessories at good prices.

I saw a couple at Euless guns and ammo last time I was there:

I've also seen a few at a place called Gander Mountain in Corsicana. Looks like they have a store in Sherman too, so that should be closer to you. That place has a much better gun selection than Bass Pro, especially for being a smaller place.

Not sure which mfgr(s), but I've seen quite a few EBRs at Bachman Pawn and Gun on NW Hwy. before. They typically have good pricing on at least pistolas.

Man, you better bring your own AR if you're going to be walking around that area of town!

The ticket if going to Bachman's is to be there about 10:00 a.m., before the hos and meth monkeys get out of bed.

Man, it must be a real downer to work in a place like that, and deal with those losers for a living.

Thanks for all of the responses guys, keep them coming!
I've narrowed my search down a bit. I'm now looking specifically for a 16" DPMS in 7.62x39. I want to be able to use this gun for hogs/whitetail deer

Lol, yeah I don't know when they all get up to start their day, but it's most certainly after 10am!

Is there a reason you don't want to get one at a gun show? I guarantee that you can find what you're looking for there. Someone said cheaper than dirt had them for $599, which is cheaper than any I've seen at the shows. I've been meaning to check out military gun supply in Fort Worth also. They just got cleaned out by burglars a couple weeks ago though...
