It is in Russia, what I noticed most is the lack of recoil/Muzzle jump on those new Nikonov (AN-94)rifles..

With the exception of a couple of snipers, I wasn't real impressed with the 'spray and pray' mentality exhibited.

I don't think there was much praying or spraying here. The rifle drills were on controlling automatic fire while on the move, either on foot or in a bouncy vehicle (love the simulator), and they did very well keeping their weapons and muzzles stable. Even one-handed. Besides the reduced recoil effects whatever they might have done to the latest rifles, they also train to maintain a pliable body, so that they absorb some of the recoil instead of having the muzzle jump (and their lower body absorbs the recoil of ground or platform moving below them, so as not to bounce the rifle around).

Those guys with the machine pistols really kept excellent control.

Were you watching the number of shots hitting the target compared to the number of shots heard fired?
Definitely spray and pray.

I watched the whole video, several times. Anyone who wants to go up against these guys thinking they're spray and pray shooters...well, Mr. T's comment comes to mind.

Apparently we have a vastly different view of what accuracy is. In my case I'm not a fan of the tacticool spray and pray type.

Same here, I was really surprised at the lack of muzzle rise. What caliber are they?

The lack of muzzle rise was impressive! If they were using something at all considered a "full size" combat round, that was nice!

I really liked the continual suppression fire drill. One firing, one reloading, one staged to take over fire. If a medic or someone needed to break cover to to a task quickly, that drill could potentially buy the exposed person a ton of time by keeping heads down.

I wouldn't want to go up against those guys unless I had at least as much ammo as they did, preferably more!

Aimed fire is nice, but sometimes it's a luxury. I say this having spent a year in VietNam. Although I was NOT in a combat arms unit, we did some shooting and suffered through quite a few rocket attacks.
