I have never stepped foot in one believe it or not and I live within 15 minutes of 2 of them in both directions. I usually shop online, walmart, or academy. Have I been missing out on something?

If I recall correctly Dick's stopped selling AR pattern rifles during the barry sotero gun grab post Newtown school shooting. They caved to the antis and actuall lost sales revenue as a result.

I wouldn't buy anything from them.

If I recall correctly
Please confirm before posting. This will obviously have a negative impact by gun owners.

Dick's sales dropped at the end of last year due to the policy.

However, looks like sales at Dick's are now up.

You know, I've purchased quite a bit at Dick's over the years but is was all team sports gear and none of it was outdoor gear or gun related. I never really think of them as an option for outdoor gear. I guess because they are next door to Bass Pro.

Thanks. When you say "if I recall correctly" it indicates you are not certain and this is obviously a very important issue to most gun owners.

You are welcome, and correct as usual. Thanks for pointing this out to me.

There have also been multiple threads on the forum discussing Dick's (along with other retailers) reaction to the CT mess.
