I have never stepped foot in one believe it or not and I live within 15 minutes of 2 of them in both directions. I usually shop online, walmart, or academy. Have I been missing out on something?

Re: Dick's Sporting Goods
If I recall correctly Dick's stopped selling AR pattern rifles during the barry sotero gun grab post Newtown school shooting. They caved to the antis and actuall lost sales revenue as a result.1s1k52 wrote:I have never stepped foot in one believe it or not and I live within 15 minutes of 2 of them in both directions. I wouldn't buy anything from them.

Please confirm before posting. This will obviously have a negative impact by gun owners.anygunanywhere wrote:If I recall correctly1s1k52 wrote:I have never stepped foot in one believe it or not and I live within 15 minutes of 2 of them in both directions. They also canceled orders. http://blogs.militarytimes.com/gearscou ... ing-goods/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2012 ... re-orders/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; They also ask for personal info besides just the birthdate when you buy ammo.

Dick's sales dropped at the end of last year due to the policy.Charles L. Cotton wrote:Please confirm before posting. Re: Dick's Sporting Goods
You know, I've purchased quite a bit at Dick's over the years but is was all team sports gear and none of it was outdoor gear or gun related. I never really think of them as an option for outdoor gear. I guess because they are next door to Bass Pro.

Thanks. When you say "if I recall correctly" it indicates you are not certain and this is obviously a very important issue to most gun owners.

There have also been multiple threads on the forum discussing Dick's (along with other retailers) reaction to the CT mess.
